WIP Wednesday: In the Thick of Things

Happy Hump Day!

String and Story's 2016 Christmas Orders have officially closed. I am still accepting orders, of course, but I can't guarantee that they will be ready by Christmas. I can, however, guarantee that if you want to order anyway, I'll send you a cute little gift-able IOU/raincheck that you can put under the tree (stay tuned on Instagram for a picture in a day or two-- I still need to get the little gift boxes for them). I was hoping to extend the order deadline, but with moving, alas.

Speaking of, MOVING! Our home inspection went well yesterday (a different house than a couple of weeks ago), and assuming paperwork, etc. continues smoothly as expected, we will close the end of November and move the first week of December.

I know literally nothing about the Nightmare Before Christmas, but I LOVE when a quilt has a theme!

In actual sewing, I am in the midst of Christmas Order sewing. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who placed orders with me this month. I'm so excited to be part of your holiday giving, and I am enjoying each and every quilt. If you have placed an order but haven't heard from me in a couple weeks, hang in there. I'm catching up as quickly as I can!

As you may remember, I am also passionate about combining my love of quilting and an idea to fundraise to raise money for childhood cancer research. While the BIG project my friend Ashley and I are working on requires some more prep work and then some pitching (we're hoping to partner with a couple of non-profits; I'm hoping the ball will be fully rolling on that by January), I'm also working on a wholesale-friendly line of quilts for String and Story called Yellow Ribbon Quilts. I'm excited for ALL of these ideas and branches of this passion project, so stay tuned!

^^ Gratuitous cutie kid pictures-- Jem's first ice cream cone, and Ian exploring the yard.

Happily,

HollyAnne
