Happy Monday, everyone!
If you've been following my #100daysofstringandstory project, then you know most of those videos have focused on my motivation to improve my free motion quilting skills. The Machine Quilting Blog Hop starts May 1st, and I'm enjoying all this warm up. I've been particularly working on fill designs, which brings me to today's resource.
I've been spending some time on LeahDay.com, home of the Free Motion Quilting Project. Leah has published photos of over 365 free motion quilting designs, including Echo Shell (which is what I've been calling Radiating Rainbow) and Paisley. In addition to the photo gallery, each image is clickable, leading to a blog post and video. This is an amazing resource for quilters looking to expand their skills and their "library" of motifs.
If you aren't familiar with Leah's work, you can learn more about her on my FriYAY Friends interview with her and on my friend Vicki's podcast interview with her. You can also find Leah on Instagram @LeahDayQuilting. And, if you haven't see today's #100daysofStringAndStory, hop on over to @stringandstory to watch me practice drawing the Circuit Board design. I'm hoping to use it on the next #OperationSmiley quilt for Quilts for Cure!
