Good morning, Friends!
What does quilt as desired mean to you? Quilt designers everywhere (myself included) tag this little phrase to the end of our patterns, leaving nearly 50% of the work of turning fabric into a finished quilt with no guidance whatsoever. Too often, "quilt as desired" turns into "and now this quilt top shall languish in my sewing room forever."
What if, instead of feeling you with dread, disappointment, or discouragement, the phrase "quilt as desired" made you feel excited to add your very own spirit into your quilts? What if "quilt as desired" made you excitedly reach for your markers and sketchbook to get busy? What if "quilt as desired" meant "PARTY TIME!"? What if you were CONFIDENT to tackle "quilt as desired"?
That's why I'm launching my first online workshop: Intro to Free Motion Quilting. This free workshop will teach you how to set up your home machine, adjust your tension, and begin a few simple motifs. The goal is to take the FEAR out of FMQ so that you finish the day believing that YOU CAN BE A QUILTING ROCKSTAR. (spoiler: you totally can). I can't wait to watch you find your quilting confidence! Get all the details and reserve your seat today!
In the meanwhile, I'd love to connect with you on Instagram. I love sharing daily tips and inspiration to keep the spark of joy in your quilting.
See you there!
