Meet Your Teacher
Hey there, Rockstar!
I’m HollyAnne Knight, and it’s my job to guide you to quilt with confidence.
Since 2017, I’ve helped over 3,000 students from over 19 countries become Quilting Rockstars. With backgrounds in teaching and ballet, I’m known for making quilting fun, doable, and surprisingly simple—using movement-based instruction, step-by-step lessons, and plenty of encouragement.
I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in our industry (like Missouri Star Quilt Company, QuiltCon, and American Patchwork & Quilting), but my real passion is teaching quilters like you.
Whether you’re brand new to free motion and ruler quilting or want to plan your own custom quilting, I’ll help you get there!
What To Expect From The Challenge

Day 1: Set up your quilting space
I’ll show you the simple supplies you need to gather to prepare your sewing machine for quilting and some tips for improving your quilting ergonomics.

Day 2: Choose Motifs You’ll Actually Use
We’ll practice designs that look gorgeous together (and are forgiving to stitch). You’ll feel the rhythm, not the pressure.

Day 3: Put It Together (Your Plan, Your Quilt)
We’ll combine a couple of motifs into a drawn quilting plan and discuss how to bring that quilting plan to life on your project.
By the end of the challenge, you’ll be ready to start quilting and could finish your project by the end of the weekend!
