In my experience, the weights of thread between embroidery floss and 50 wt don’t get nearly enough attention and appreciation. Closing Thoughts

For years, my “go to” thread has been Aurifil 50 wt, but as I’ve had more opportunities to work with the 40 wt, I’m recognizing the extra little “pop” that a slightly heavier thread adds to my work. I especially love it when I’m doing a larger or looser motif and want my stitching to show a little more. Bottom line: if you haven’t tried 40 wt thread yet, I recommend it!
