Is there anything more mouthwatering at the quilt shop than high piles of gorgeous, multicolored precuts? They’re like the cupcakes and chocolates of quilting land. I want to fill a tub with them and roll around in all that goodness!

But, Y’ALL. I’ve got precuts piled up from 2017 that I haven’t touched. What?? How can something so pretty be so puzzling to use??

Summer Stash Busting

This annual event began in 2018 when Hubster and I were beginning our debt free journey. It was so much fun, though, that I’ve continued the event each summer since. It’s an opportunity to get creative with fabric we already have and make a fun quilt (or a whole bunch of them).

This year, we are focusing on precuts. But, Rockstar, don’t panic if you don’t have a bunch of precuts lying around. You can cut your own and join the fun, too!

Ready to get the scoop?

Conclusion

Excited? Grab your copy of the Pretty Precuts Special Issue, pick a pattern or two to sew with me, and raid your precut stash for something pretty to use. Almost all these patterns also use background fabric, so you can either get scrappy with that or raid your yardage, too, for some extra stash busting. Huzzah!

Nervous to start too many new projects? Many of the quilts listed lend themselves to making just part of the pattern as a table runner or wall hanging. Personally, that’s my plan for Double Colorado!

Over the next six weeks, I’ll be offering reviews of each pattern week by week as well as sharing quilting plan ideas for each one. I’m excited for this adventure with you!
